Camelia is an ordinary teenagershe has a part time job, she gets along with her parents and does well in school. Then she meets Ben, a good looking guy who saves her life when an oncoming car swerves out of control directly in her path. Camelias immediately drawn to Ben, but theres one problem. The whole student body believes Ben to be responsible for his girlfriends accidental death. Hes ostracized from the entire student body and small town community. No one except Camelia will give him the time of day. During this same time, Camelia starts receiving disturbing phone calls and threatening messages. Ben insists he knows she is in danger, but Camelia alternates between believing him and wondering if his presence in town isnt just coincidentally synched up with the threats.
I was torn between really enjoying this book and being incredibly annoyed with it. I had a hard time with the fact that a girl so obviously in a dangerous situation would keep whats going on to herself, and it was extremely frustrating that even her friends werent urging her to seek help or take the situation as seriously as it deserved. Camelia described how her parents were going through a difficult time with the mental illness diagnosis of her mothers sister, but wouldnt her mother be MORE upset if something were to happen to Camelia and then she found out all this had been going on without her daughter ever coming to her?
On the other hand, I liked how the author switched the viewpoints between Camelia and her stalker. As the stalker grows more and more frenzied, the reader senses it in the writing which adds to the general panic and creepiness of the book. Ben was by far my favorite character. He was illusive and unpredictable. At times I thought he was the stalker, at times I did not. By the end, I was completely at a loss and the twists and turns really surprised me. I will say that the end did seem a little rushed, but I will look forward to reading the next novel. I hope that Bens condition and past are delved into more deeply as he really is a fascinating character. Overall I would give this book a positive review as a solid paranormal romance. I will read the next book in the series, but with that being said; I wont buy this book to re-read again or be upset if I cant read the sequel immediately when it is released.

In this touch novel, Camelia, has a normal life. When a new student, Ben, arrives to her school for their junior year, things change dramtically. There are rumors said that Bed killed his ex-girlfriend, but she refuses to listen to any of them. She suddenly starts reciveing mysterious phone calls that are taunting her. She knows Ben has secrets, but are the rumor's true or not?

I liked this novel, every page put together a story that is both mysterious and secretive. You are going to want to read every page over and over. It's great!

Okay, I admit, this book scared me [the book trailer scared me too...]. Not as scary as The Devouring but it's coming pretty close. The book trailer reminded me of that movie trailer I saw a few months ago...something Massacre? Chainsaw Massacre? Not sure but it was scary as hell.

What I remember the most while I was reading this was this weird sense of euphoria. Like I was reading it...in a out-of-body experience. Did anyone feel this way??? The entire time I was like: must. get. this. done. Haha

What I liked most about Deadly Little Secret was the creepiness [even though it scared the crap out of me]. But I like scary books. And Deadly Little Secret was definitely a scary book. I liked the suspension it made you feel while you were reading it and how you had to keep guessing who the culprit was. I also loved the way it was written in two perspectives - Camelia's and her stalker's. I loved how the stalker's perspective was written in a journal and it made it seem more real.

Camelia sometimes made me want to slap her. Why? Because she refused to get any real help aka parents, polices, etc. Instead, she kept going like: I'm sure it'll pass, etc. etc. I mean, if you felt you were in danger, wouldn't you want to find an authoritative figure to help you? I know I would. Even though she was really brave, there were definitely some times where she was downright stupid. She was a very thorough and in-depth character. I enjoyed reading about her and her "relationship" with Ben.

Now, on to Ben [gotta talk about him]. He was a mysterious character. No doubt about it. But what I learned - finally- surprised me even though it probably shouldn't have. But it did. And I have to admit, what I learned + his mysterious character + his sexy body = yumm! Hahahaha.

Overall, this book was intense. Better than I had thought so that is a good thing. :)
