This is a companion book to the Deltora Quest books and it tells about the monsters from the Deltora Quest series in the authors words and tells a bit about each creature.  Their favorite foods, how she came to create some of them, what they are like, how they became that way, etc.  The best part of this book is the illustrations.  I liked comparing what I thought the monsters looked like in the books to their actual pictures.
