When the sorceress Hawthorne removes his parents and takes over the World Below, the Childe must find the changeling who replaced him in the human world. He is the only one who can defeat Hawthorne. When the Childe finds Edmund, he also discovers the kind of life he's been missing out on with his real parents.

With no choice but to join the Childe, Edmund travels to the World Below. Together, they're the only ones who can save the throne, but they also have the help of Whick and their human sister Alexis. In the end, Edmund and the Childe must decide where they belong and who their family really is.

I absolutely love everything about this book. The characters, the illustrations, the plot, the world Ethan M. Aldridge created, and the lesson of the importance of family. This book is written as a graphic novel and is probably one of my favorites. It is well put-together and the plot kept my interest the whole way through.

Final Verdict: I would recommend this to fans of the fae, graphic novels, fantasy, magic, and finding who you are.
