It has action and the occasional weirdness! It makes you think differently about, if mythical creatures exsits, if we don't see them because our eyes aren't open to them?

I never really wanted to read this series. When I got it for Christmas one year I'm like, "Okay, a series to read when I can't get to the library." Then, I read what they were about and I was like, "Wow! Totally my type of books! Why didn't I wanna read this, again?!" I read the first book and felt a thrill every time I read it (Almost the same thrill I feel when I read or think about the Twilight saga by Stephanie Meyer!). The first book was cool `cuz it's about fantasy stuff that a lot of people don't believe in but I do and it's the first book so it's all new and you don't really know about Fablehaven. Brandon Mull create a slightly new concept. I really like Kendra, I can really relate to her. Seth is so funny and high spirited, he is fearless and cool. I give Brandon Mull one of the best praises I ever give a series: Right under the Twilight saga by Stephanie Meyer. I really love the all the characters and all the creatures. This book is original. I can't believe I didn't read it before.

This book was so much fun to read. It moved right along and captured my imagination. I love the idea of a sanctuary for mythical creatures. The description the author gives throughout the book really captured my imagination. The two lead characters were very different and they worked off each other well throughout the story. I could not wait to turn each page to see what happend next. To me that is a true sign of a great book. Seth learns a valuable lesson in the story and Kendra is a hero. I told all my friends about this book. They bought it and read the rest of the series as well. I love that Seth and Kendra will do whatever it takes to help their Grandfather to save the santuary. The two lead characters go through many obsticles in the story and it is so magical how they get themselves out of trouble.

I won this book in a contest, and, to be honest, I probably would not have read it otherwise. This book sat on my bookshelf for months after it came in the mail. But I started reading it on one boring Saturday afternoon and I just couldn't put it down. I recommend this book for all fantasy and science fiction book lovers, including all of the Harry Potter fans.

Intrigued by the cover, I nevertheless didnt really know what to expect when I first picked up Fablehaven. However, I was left thoroughly satisfied with it. The story revolved around two siblings, early teens and just younger, and their adventures at their grandfathers place. The setup made the first of the book seem a little slow, but soon the story became gripping as a myriad of fantastical characters made their appearances. The book is teeming with fairies, witches, demons, nymphs, satyrs, trolls, imps, and other creatures too strange to be named. Being a fan of folklore and fantasy, I appreciated the unique mix of creatures and especially the exciting plot twists and edge-of-my-seat climax. The book is easy to get lost in, and easier to recommend. I am greatly looking forward to reading the sequels, and Im confident that for any reader who appreciates unique adventures, strange creatures, and deep magic, this book will not leave them unsatisfied either.

This book was fun! I enjoyed reading this young adult tale, the first in a series about hidden exotic wildlife preserves and the special caretakers who live on them. Fablehaven isn't like any preserve you've ever heard of! All the creatures that reside here - and the dozens of preserves like it spread across the globe - are just as dangerous as they are endangered and just as hard to see as they are hard to believe in! Although a little dose of special milk really puts a spin on things...

Fablehaven is home to all the fantastical, mystical creatures one would associate with, well, fable. Many of the classical creatures of myth and fantasy lore abide here, including naiads, trolls, ogres, fairies, imps, satyrs and many more, both seen and hinted at. All of it not only right here in the good ol' US of A, but just over there in Connecticut!

Brandon Mull's debut novel (2006 was quite the year for first-time authors, eh?) is a well-written piece of creativity that will enthrall children and interest adults. A tale of discovery and courage, it encompasses the comparison of many things: the results of having rules - too strictly following them and too blatantly disregarding them; the consequences of choice - the differences between self-interest, self-preservation, self-pity and self-lessness; the onus of opportunity - a study of the two-edged sword of opportunity that gives freedom and demands responsibility.

This is a clever story that perfectly scores with its target market and does exactly what it claims to do. I am confident any reader of young adult fantasy fiction will agree that this is a delightful beginning of a series to look forward to. I am glad to add Brandon Mulls Fablehaven to my library and would definitely recommend it to any young-at-heart readers.
