FACT OF LIFE #48: Kats mom is No-Last-Name Abra, the best home-birth midwife in Colorado. But with her own daughter, Abra cant stop teaching and lecturing long enough to be a mom.
Fact of Life #21: Kats had a crush on Manny Cruz since seventh grade. Now Manny is showing interest , but could he seriously be into Weird Yoga Girl Kat Flynn?
Fact of Life #14: Gorgeous Libby Giles has always intimidated Kat. But lately theres something different about Libby, and its about to bring her crashing into Kats Life. . . .
Kat is a girl who's centered and knows what she's going to do. She trains for her decathlon and works at her mom's midwifery. She's also not afraid to do yoga in the school hallway. Basically Kat doesn't care about what others think of her.She was easy to relate to and had a great sense of humor. This was a fun read about a girl who's exploring herself while trying to deal with normal adolescent problems. Her relationship with her mother, Abra, is strained but she does eventually speak up and tells her mother how she feels. There was some romance in the book, and I liked the little facts that were included in the chapters.I also liked how the book was divided into four parts and each part had something do with birth that was also related to the part you were reading. So if you're looking for a fun read look no further.
