Gaia felt that she no longer can stay with the Mosses' because it reminds her of the presence of Mary. She also does not want to put them in danger as Loki, her demented uncle, starts to look for her. She goes to her friend's house, Ed, and hides out there. She gets the FOH'S and creates replicates of hereself to confuse her uncle. In this book, Ed tells Gaia about how he feels about her and is stunned not knowing what to say. And the suspense continues to grow from there...
