i liked reading this book alot.when i first started reading it it seemed boring because there was so many descpiptions. but when i read past the first twenty pages, the book turned out really good. i began seeing how clio baklmed her father for her accident and as i read more and more,i began to read about adrian and clio.not to give anything away but im just going to say clio and adrian get involved in a triangle with ollie.even though ollie isnt there.with adrian and clio.but one really cool thing about the book is that the book is placed in naples italy and every character is on the yact.yoy ahould look into it.

Clio has had quite an interesting life, and a tattoo to match her artistic personality. Just when she lands the dream job, guess what? Kiss that sucker goodbye.

Instead, she's tagging along with her dad for summer, on a boat in Italy. But it won't be just her and dear old dad. Julia, the new girlfriend, her daughter Elsa, and assistant Aiden are all tagging along. But what are they looking for?

It was great to see Clio struggle with everything, become friends with Elsa, fall for Aiden, deal with the fact that Elsa likes him too, and solve the mystery of this trip. Just when she thinks she's got it, she doesn't. I loved the adventure of it all, the characters were great, and the story was amazing. I was ready to hop aboard on the next boat to Italy just so I could have a wild ride like Clio...

Seventeen-year-old Clio Ford has just gotten a summer job at an art store working alongside a guy she likes. She's not happy when her father whisks her away for the summer on a ship to Italy for his research. However, she finds herself making friends with the other girl onboard and developing interest in the guy helping with the research.

Maureen Johnson does an excellent job of writing the tone of a witty, sarcastic teenager while also keeping it light. The characters are interesting to read, the plot is a perfect balance of discovery and mystery, and Clio's voice is just fun to read. I loved Girl at Sea, and I heartily recommend it.

I was lucky enough to recieve an advance copy of this book in January. When I started reading I couldn't put it down! Maureen Johnson includes interesting History without making it boring. I loved all the characters. The main character is sarcastic but loveable and totally relatable. I would reccommend this book to anyone!
