Three completely different girls are forced to live together as roommates in Goddess Games by Niki Burnham. Each girl is working at Kings Crown Spa in Juniper, Colorado for the summer. At first, the girls strikingly different personalities clash, but as they learn to live together, the girls learn a lot from each other and become friends.

For Seneca Billeray, being the daughter of an oscar-winning mom isnt as breezy as some would think. Ever since her mom broke up with her powerful producer boyfriend, getting jobs hasnt been too easy. Seneca hopes that a summer of schmoozing with the right people in Juniper will get her mom the connections that she needs to make a comeback with her career.

Drew Davenport is a serious athlete in every sense of the word. She pushes herself to the limit and strives to break state records in running. Drew hopes that training in the high-altitude of Colorado will help give her an edge in cross-country next year. When she meets an irresistible guy, will she be able to get over her stubbornly independent streak and start a relationship?

Claire Watts has been through a lot in the past few months, and shes turned to Christianity to save her. But her new attitude against drinking and partying doesnt fly well with her old group of club-hopping friends. Claire hopes that a summer away from the shallow people she used to hang out with will help her turn over a new leaf.

Each of the girls has a unique story and a few secrets, and there is a good balance of drama and comedy throughout. Niki Burnham shows how easy it can be to find a friend when you just give somebody a chance. As a reader, all the characters were likable, yet very believable too. Goddess Games stands out as not another shallow piece of chick-lit, but a satisfying and empowering story!
