This book is great. Outside of the magic, it really depicts the events of a young boys life. Then you throw in the magic, and magic is made. I am 24 and loved reading this book.

I'm probably going to receive thousands of pages worth of hate mail for this, but...I didn't think Harry Potter Book IV lived up to the expectations set by Prisoner of Azkaban. I had hoped that as Harry got older, the series would lose some of its goofiness, which really detracts from the impact of the otherwise excellent stories. I was wrong, however, and while I really enjoyed reading this book, it was not near as good as it could have been if certain elements were left out.

As C.S. Lewis once said of heaven, it was a place into which he was "dragged kicking and screaming." So be it with my own foray into Harry Potter. As a Middle School Language Arts teacher, I frankly had no time to delve into this popular phenomenon.

But my students, most of them 14 years and older, nagged me and finally persuaded me to seek them out. I did--and I am a better teacher for it! I say this with no reluctance. I have three degrees, have taught theater, acting, literature, language arts, and read every day of my life, not only for information, but for pleasure.

I cracked the cover of the first book, and within a few pages, was swept away. I love the books, the characters and the story line. Of course, as a teacher, I see other themes running rampant--coming from behind, dealing with self-esteem issues, negotiating conflict, not to mention developing morals and doing the right thing, not only the easy thing. Having loved the first three books so much, and becoming inspired to adapt these into my teaching, I was suspect of the fourth book. It was too LONG, I said to myself, and might not live up.

I think that Harry Potter is a spectacular book!! All 4 or them actually, I really liked the 4th book though cuz it was long, then it would take me at least three days to finish the book!! hehe, It's such a magical and enchanting story, and has very vivid words to make my imagination or clearer. It makes me want to live Harry's life! All those adventures he has, and he is a wizard. I would LOVE to be a witch, with powers, and EVERYTHING, and even play quiditch! I'd love to feel the air swishing through my long hair! Yup, and maybe even be Harry's girlfriend, hehe, I really love Harry Potter books, and I can't WAIT til book 5 comes out!!

I thought that the fourth book in the Harry Potter series was better than the other three. It took me less than one week to finish the book. It had me flipping the pages to find out what would happen to Harry next. It was sad in the end, though. I was very sure that the Death Eater at Hogwarts was Snape....but I was wrong. I can't wait until the fifth book comes out. When I read other books, then come back and read a Harry Potter book, its like coming home after a really long vacation! =)

I loved Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. It pulled me into Harry's shoes. What happened to Harry happened to me. The plot was wonderful when Harry was in the tournement I was there right with him. If you liked any of the first Harry Potter books you should read this one.

I have read all of the Harry Potter books and if you ask me they just get better and better. The Goblet of Fire was the most exciting one so far. It took me two weeks to read it and I didn't want to put it down.

I was introduced to Harry Potter by my little brother in junior high, and I am glad now that he introduced them to me.
