It's almost as good as a Sarah Dessen book, but not quite there.

Ruby is known as 'The Quiet Girl'. But that one summer before her senior year she changes as she meets Travis Becker. Gorgeous, rich, and dangerous Travis lets Ruby a chance to be someone else. Someone who is reckless and takes risks.

This novel is actually focused on three different loves (and heartbreaks): Ruby and Travis, Ruby's mother while her Ruby's father comes back to visit, and last (sweetest of all), an elderly lady in Ruby's mother's book club who is seeking her past sweetheart.
