Lonnie, from Harlam, enters a basketball tournament. His coach, Cal, is a former basketball player. Cal teaches Lonnie about the game and about the pressure. Meanwhile, Lonnie tries to face the everyday burdens of living in poverty. I would highly recommend this book because it's fun to read and it seems as if the story could really happen.
