light, interesting and teaches that even vampires go throguh stupid high school problems. although the buildup is really slow and gradual there is alot of intrigue in the middle causing this book to be highly entertaining. one wonders at the end what is left for dear zoey redbird? enjoyable.

I thought that i wasn't goning to like this book that much. But once i stared reading i couldn't out it down. I mean you have Zoey. She is nice, pretty, and smart...just not in the boy department. She goes through so many boys that it's not funny. But at the end she starts to see what she has done. I loved the book untill it got to the part about a professor Loren. I didn't like him at all. I knew something fishy was about him when he told zoey that he loved her. He really did her wrong. This book will make you made but the last book will make you love the series even more. SO YES READ ALL OF THESE BOOKS!!!

Let me get some of the bad things out of the way right away. Zoey's non-cussing is becoming more of in issue therefore more annoying. Yes we get you don't like to cuss Zoey but MUST you say poopy? Or even worse "bull poop"?! I also wished that Zoey would realize that Stevie Rae wasn't the same anymore. There is a whole bunch of action in Chosen, more then any other of the books so far. All of Zoey's relationships are put to the test, too bad for her, she fails. But in the end I believe that Zoey grew as a person and is now able to start fresh by being truthful to her friends on NOT having three boyfriends. I hope she gets back with Heath, their relationship had more history and depth. Ohh my favorite character though would have to be Jack. Almost everything he does is adorable. I wanna give him a hug! Which makes me remember that all of the characters have pretty awesome personalities. Overall I think that Chosen was an event filled book that kept me turning the pages.

As Zoey Redbird learns more of her Goddess-given powers, dark forces are at work at the House of Night. Those appearing to be friends are turning out to be enemies. However, enemies are also turning out to be friends. Or at least familiar acquaintances. Her best friend, Stevie Rae, is an undead and is struggling to maintain a grip in her humanity. Because if she loses it, she will become one of the others, forever lost and killing for blood. Zoey does not know how to help her but is determined to save her best friend. She does know, however, that anything she and Stevie discover must be kept a secret from everyone else because trust has become a rare commodity. Zoey also manages to find herself with not only one, but three boyfriends. When things could not get any more difficult, vampyres are turning up dead. As in, really really dead. All evidence point to the People of Faith, specifically Zoeys step-father, who are already tired of living side by side with vampyres, the creatures of evil. But as Zoey and her friends find out that things rarely reflect the truth. This book is very interesting but somehow manages to portray Zoeys friends are shallow beings. Even though it has a lot of action, there are some scenes where Zoey looks like an extreme slut.
