Hush paints a very sad story about a young irish princess, kidnapped from her homeland in a time of war to be sold into slavery to the highest bidder. but our young herione does not give up hope, through her adventure she remains completely silent, not a word escapes her lips. in many instances this proves a benefit. don't read this book if your looking for a happy story of a reunited family where everything turns out alright in the end. it's not one of those books. hush is very close to reality, what really would have happend in a situation like this. In short, hush is about persistance in the grimmest of situations, hope when all seems lost, and the will to live.
