My friend lent me this book, and at first I thought it would be a typical chick read. The girl sets her eyes on a guy and she clings annoyingly to him, and gets him.
Well, I thought the characters were well developed. Three best friends Jennifer, Amy and Chelsea are off for the summer on their own...and during that summer, they experience drama. And being a senior myself, I guess it was easy for me to relate to them, not wanting to be separated and wanting to spend as much time with my friends. The whole story moved me, and it's actually an easy read. So I highly recommend it!!

A great summer read, nothing too special just has a very important meaning i'd like to point out: Friendship is the most imporatant thing to have in life, next to love. A story of 3 girls on their summer break, one on their way to finding true love and the other 2 just finding themselves. basically it's a typical story you might pick up and read when your bored though the writing is pretty good.

Jen and her best friends, Amy and Chelsea are spending the last summer before college together at Jens grandparents house down at the beach. The girls have total freedom and theyre looking forward to the independence. But the girls also have to get jobs and pay the bills and food. They plan on spending the summer without boys. But when Chelseas boyfriend Noah appears unannounced, Jens plans seem to go awry. But when she meets Dylan, she wants to take things slow since she knows she wont seem him after the summer, but she finds herself falling in love with him. But when he suddenly disappears, Jen is really bummed out and she forgets her plans and lives in the moment. But when Dylan makes a sudden reappearance, Jen doesnt know how she feels and has to make a decision about how she feels about him.
I thought that this was a really cute book. I loved the summer romance. I read Caribbean Cruising, which was also by Rachel Hawthorne, so I cant wait for her next book to come out. This was very cute and a fun read for the summer.
