I have to admit, it's not really at my reading level, or what I might be interested in, but I remember when I read it with my Language Arts class in 5th Grade, I was one of few who was bedazzled by the novel.

It's historical fiction on the accounts of the American Revolution. Johnny Tremain, our main character, apprenticed to be a silversmith, but with an unfortunate event (sadly, it was common for something like that to happen), he becomes maimed. Without the aid of two hands, he cannot be a silversmith. Yet, there's a revolution at hold, and as the story progresses, we are not only able to see the events of the American Revolution in a fascinating light, but also about fictitious events that keep the story interesting.
