Can Jonathan scare his family?

Not Scary, Jonathan! is a cute preschool reader’s book about a young boy who is determined to scare his family but is quite unsuccessful. It makes for a great read-aloud story, with the rhyming at the beginning, where each attempt to intimidate a family member rhymes with the noise Jonathan makes to surprise them (“Jonathan’s father was sweeping the floor…” “ROAR!” / “Jonathan’s sister was having a nap…” “SNAP!”) The cute twist at the end when he gets help from an unlikely family member will make for laugh out laughter. The illustrations pair very well with a story that young children can easily identify.
