Cat St.John knows her life is far from perfect-- she has a strained relationship with her suspicious mother and is concerned for her sad, dreamy father. Then her father commits suicide on Cat's sixteenth birthday, at a bridge that has meant a lot to both of them. Cat goes momentarily insane, but must still deal with her both the way her father died, and the way he lived. In the end, she must leave home and visit her aunt to truly come to terms with what happened. Her neighbor, Cameron, is always there for her when no one else seems to be.
