in this story you meet Susie Salmon and her family. after Susie is brutally raped, murdered then dismembered she goes to heaven. from there she watches as her family spirals downward from the grief. before her soul left the earth she reached out to a girl from her school Ruth, who barely knew her. the man who killed her lives down the street from Susie's house. he goes by undetected although Susie's father Jack suspects something. Susie's view from heaven you see her family go through depression and happiness. read the book and see who makes it out ok.
