When I began to read Lucky T I was instantly absorbed. From the first three words I was right there with the straight A, perfect life, lucky teenager Carrie Fitzgerald and her best friend. I saw Carrie as your average teenager, trying to do what you think is right, but messing up occasionally. By the third chapter of Lucky T, you already have a wide cast of unique characters all with their own personalties, and there are still more to come. In the beginning, you leap right into the classic teenage drama; boys. After Carrie finds out her lucky t-shirt(given to her by her father, who she rarely sees) Carrie is convinced her luck is ruined. It doesn't get much better when her sexy, popular boyfriend, Jason dumps her, and she gets a D on a test.
Carrie decides that she must travel to India with her mom's friend, Cecila, and her daughter, Doreen(Dor-mean), and get her T-shirt back. For Carrie, the first couple of days in India for her didn't go very well. She causes turmoil for the charity groups, insults natives of India, and ends up with some wicked misquieto bites.
Finally, Carrie meets the cute Dee, a charity worker at a childrens shelter. Carrie and Dee's romance rises and falls as Carrie and Dee learn more about one and other.
All in all, Lucky T is a very good read, a great book, and keeps you turning pages until you find out whether Carrie Fitzgerald will or won't get her lucky t-shirt back.
