This is the fifth book in the 'Mates, Dates and...' series and told from Lucy's point of view.
Lucy feels left out because all her friends have boyfriends but she doesn't. Then, she meets the 'perfect boy' The have fun at first but tthen he starts controlling her life and she begins to loose touch with her friends.
Will 'love' triamph over friendship???? (the answer is pretty obvious)

I really like this book, out of the entire series I think it is my favorite, but the series isn't over! so I still have yet to change my mind... over all, though, it was a good book. I tend to like books with Lucy as the main character better. I think its just because she started the series off....

This wasn't my favorite book out of the series, but still it was a good and fast read and I enjoyed it a lot. Cathy Hopkins perfectly captures what's going on in a teenage girl's mind. Its so realistic and true. This book has a lot to do about boys, being single, and friendship, like most of the books in this series.
Sole Survivors focuses on Lucy. Lucy gets dumped by her perfect boy, Tony, older brother of one of her best friends, Nesta. Now she's the only on in the group whose single and she feels left out.
Then she goes with Izzie on a yoga/relaxation weekend, where she meets Daniel. He actually turns out to have many of the qualities she looks for in a boy and she's so happy. She spends all her time with him, until she feels suffocated. Daniel is too overprotective, controlling, and self-centered. This is not what Lucy wants in a mutual relationship with a guy. Tony was never like this. What should she do?
With the help of her friends and some advice from her family, Lucy figures out a way to make the right decision for herself. She has the choice to be a goddess or a doormat.
This book teaches you to not let people make you feel inferior and not to have people control your life or make your decisions. Life is about freedom. Its a fun book and Lucy's friends are awesome. You'll love reading about thier different personalities. If you love the rest of this series, then read this one. I recommend it greatly. Cathy Hopkins is a great author!
