Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment by James Patterson is an action-packed book about Max and her flock, Fang, Iggy, Gazzy, Nudge, and Angel. Max's flock was genetically enhanced when they were still babies and they're 2% bird. All of them have wings and other bird-like characteristics, making them very unique. Unfortunatly, they live in exile after escaping from the School, the lab that ran tests on them.

When Angel gets kidnapped by the wolfish genetically enhanced humans called Erasers, the flock agrees to rescue her. Leaving Iggy (who's blind) and Gazzy (Angel's biological brother who Max thinks is too young to go after her), Max, Fang, and Nudge venture out to find the little girl, the real danger begins.

Through an intense adventure, Max learns that she and her flock are never going to have their normal and secretive life ever again. They're goal: to save the world.

This book is great for anyone who likes action and adventure. Science fiction fans might also like it because of the genetics that Patterson thinks through well through his writing. This is probably for a teen audience.
