Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment by James Patterson is a great book! Its an awesome way to start off a series. Ill try not to give any spoilers so here goes: this book is about a girl named Max and her "flock"; Fang, Iggy, Gazzy and Angel. They are being hunted down by scientists because they have wings and were part of an experiment but escaped. Now 6 year old Angel is kidnapped by them and now its up to the flock to find her and save her before its too late. This book is full of adventure, suspense and even a little romance between Max and her best friend Fang. In this thrilling first book of a series, Max and the rest of the flock must find Angel and at the same time firgure out where they belong and where they came from. The book isn't just about saving Angel, it goes beyond that which makes the story line even better. This is a must read! :)
