Susannah talks with dead people. When she moves from New York City to Carmel, California, she gains three new stepbrothers and a stepdad--not to mention Jesse, an absolute hunk of a ghost who haunts her bedroom.
As a mediator, Suze's job is to help ghosts tie up loose ends so the spirits can travel onward to their next destination. What resolution does Jesse, of the long dark eyelashes and six-pack abs, need?
At her new school, Suze meets another mediator--a first in her life (and the other mediator is both the most unlikely and yet the most reasonable person you could imagine). She also ends up in an unfortunate love triangle with "mean girl" ghost Heather: Suze, adorable Bryce, and murderously enraged Heather. Quite the cozy trio . . .not.
Can Suze protect Bryce and herself from death at Heather's hands? Will she solve the mystery of Jesse (and of her attraction to him)?
This is an irresistible read: fast-paced, funny, a real page-turner. Anyone, even us non-mediator types, can relate to Suze who meets both usual (new stepfamily, new school) and unusual (hunky ghost with issues Suze must solve while dealing with her feeling for him) challenges with laugh-out-loud humor and endearingly klutzy style.
