First of six in the Mediator series by Meg Cabot, this book is more that a romantic comedy. It is a world where Mediators, people who communicate with the dead, exist. In this book, Susannah moves to Cali when her mother remarries and she gains 3 stepbrothers, an awesome bedroom, although it's pink (ewww), and a 19th century ghost, complete with her room. As she falls for Jesse, the hunky ghost, she deals with her first ghost and finds another mediator.

If not, this book will surely make you think twice about it. In this book, the first of five in the mediator series, Susannah Simon has just moved to Carmel, California from Brooklyn, New York. She's not very excited about it because a) she has 3 new step brothers, b) her new bedroom has been excessively decorated in pink by her loving mother, and c) the ghost of a 19th century hottie, named Jesse, lives in her room.

But, the thing about Suze is that she's used to the whole ghost thing. She can see and speak to ghosts, which in her case can be both good and bad. Mostly bad.

I loved this book because the really bad thing about Suze's special ability is that she starts to like Jesse, and it's funny to see how much she tries to find things to make her hate him. She doesn't really succeed because Jesse is like the sweetest guy ever. Even I began to fall in love with him.

If you're a teenage girl who loves romance, you're sure to love this book. I know I did. Enjoy!

suze is moving to california to live with her mom and new step family. when they show her her new room, suze is quite upset at what she sees. you see suze is a mediator. meaning she can see
dead people. so in her room she finds a ghost called jesse who died 150 years before.but jesse is the least of her problems.suze meets a ghost at her school and unlike jesse she is pure evil.
now swuze has to find a way to get rid of her.

wow! i thoght meg cabot was awesome and all but now i know she is just about the best writter out therew!

the mediator:shadowland
this book is about a girl named suze who is moving to sunny california to live with her mom, new stepdad and his kids sleepy dopey and doc(well thats what she calls them anyway). sounds preety normal right? wrong! suze is a mediator. meening she can see the dead. so when she finds out that her new home is over 150 years old she is not very happy because old houses are bound to have some dead ghost. and she is right because as soon as she comes into her brand new room she meets jesse. a ghost that died over 150 years earlier. but he seems preety nice. its heather that is causing all the trouble. heather is a ghost that haunts the school but the thing about heather is that she is not all that nice. infact she can be murederous.
