Andree Newport

Andree L. Newport began her writing career in theatre. Writing musicals with her dear friend and composer, Mark York she learned valuable lessons about shaping characters and writing believable dialog. One night, early in the summer of 2013, Newport had a very vivid dream about an idea for a book. She shared this idea with her sister and with support from her husband Travis, Newport began to write what is now the first of a series called The Clandestine Protectors. Newport took her daily interactions with Jr. High students that she teaches to help shape Maeve into the awkward, lost girl that would appeal to readers. She currently lives in Dickinson, Texas with her husband, Travis and their six year old son, Brayden Paul Newport.
