Jodi Picoult can surely pull you into her fictional world. Thing is, Miss Picoult's world is so much like our own that you feel as if you are reading the true to life story of someone in your neighborhood or someone that you may even know. Her characters are so flawed and believeable that you ache for them, you root for them, you scream at them and you cry with them. I have not read a book by Miss Picoult that I have not had this reaction. My Sister's Keeper is no exception. This is a story of more than than two sisters. This is about a family and that family's decisions and what the outcome is when one family member takes a stand. It's heart-wrenching, tissue-blowing, true to life and beautiful all wrapped up in between the front and back covers. I recommend this book to anyone 12 and up.
