Ever since "The Scarlet Letter" we’ve known for a fact that the other woman is just a good for nothing harlot! Well guess again thanks to Lauren Strasnick’s "Nothing Like You."
In this book Strasnick gives us Holly, who’s losing her virginity in the opening pages to Paul, an obnoxiously popular playa. Paul’s got another problem besides his womanizing ways: his long-term girlfriend. What Holly thought would just be a one night stand turns into a regular tryst with some heart wrenching consequences.
The best thing about Holly is that despite justifying the affair to herself, she always knows deep down that what she’s doing is wrong. It’s that self acknowledgement that allows readers to start to understand that Holly really does have a heart and is not just some sex-crazed lady hell bent on ruining Paul’s girlfriend’s life. What makes the situation even more complicated is she actually starts to become friends with Paul’s GF, Saskia. So now that girl’s life she could potentially ruin has a face, and a face Holly likes to be around. Girl shoot!
Furthermore, it’s the recent death of Holly’s mother that lets us readers know that Holly is really trying to find someone who can give her the love and attention she once experienced from her mom. Unfortunately she picks the class jerk who really just loves to toy with girls’ emotions.
Strasnick proves that there really are two sides to every story, and sometimes that uppercase scarlet “A” should get downgraded to lowercase.

Good Points
Let's you know that there's always more to "the other woman."
