So cute!

Beautiful love letters, an outcast princess and a charming lad raised by a troll-what could be better than that? Beautifully written, well develpoed characters, and well thought humor. A great book for Autumn. A great book for anytime really.

Final line-Sweet, Cute, No complicated subplots. 4/5

So I picked this book up at the Scholastic Warehouse. It stood out to me because of its clever cover. I proceded to read it, and I really enjoyed it.
Christian lives with his troll foster father, Edric, after running away from home. Refusing to return home, Christian is raised by Edric. Christian, one day, sees a princess over the hill. He begins sending her messages via pigeon, and soon they are best friends. Everything would be fine and dandy, except the evil queen, Olympia, wants to rule her self. She continually drugs the king, and is forcing Marigold to get married to a guy. Chris works at the palace, and he is trying to find a way to straighten out this mess before Marigold and her father are killed. But, Chris is in prison, and its pretty much up to somebody else to save everyone, but who could it be?
I really liked this book, it was different. My one complaint is with the Epilogue. I hate it when they leave things hanging like that, it just bugs me that I'll never know what happened.  I guess they say leaving the reader hanging is good, but I just really don't enjoy it. Other than that, the book was funny and entertaining.

I really enjoyed this book. It is about a young man named Christian who is in love with Princess Marigold. But,unfortunatly,Christian is a commoner who lives with Edric the troll. As for Marigold, she has an overbearing mother. I think the book may have left an opening for a sequal, but I am not entirely sure. This book was so good,I read it in 4 days.
