Bobby Pendragon. Weird name, huh? That's a strange name but it isn't half as crazy as the story he's sucked into. I mean literaly sucked. Now let me start from the begining and review this starter novel, but let me tell ya your in for one heck of a ride.

Bobby Pendragon has an uncle. No biggie right, everybody seems to have one. No I'm talking "uncle",don't worry if you don't get it you'll have to soon enough, anyways Pendragon's Uncle Press has always been the coolest relative, I mean cool. He's taken Bobby from scuba diving to diving from the sky! Plus he always travels in style, BMW's, motor bikes, and way more! The thing is he's never asked anything from Bobby on all those trips and he never seemed to want anything back after all those cool gifts, wayy cool, right?

So as the happy years go on Bobby turns 14 and he's on top of popularity and everything is going perfectly right! He's an Einstien at sports, has this great huge house, family, and even a dog named Marley. What more could you want? Sorry I guess for Bobby it would actually be what more could you get? Well believe it or not he gets more! On the day of his basketball championship game Courtney Chetwynd rings his bell. Now Courtney is like the girl Bobby. She's popular, great at sports and has her own lead game. Vollyball. Then just before the game of his life Courtney admits her crush on Bobby and they kiss! I know perfect right? Well it probably was before Uncle Press came up from no where and as soon as Courtney leaves Uncle Press whisks Bobby away from his great second earth life.

After that nothing is ever the same for Bobby Pendragon. His adventures are great and terrifying. He's always thrust into death defying danger and come out petrified and just as us fantasy lovers like to see he's always thrown back into another terrifying combat with Saint Dane (Pff some saint). Anyhow it's a story you'd better read unless you'd like to meet our saint unprepared.

Ok, I love the book and I can't wait to pick up the next one but i am still a big fan of Harry Potter and the Bartimaeus Trilogy.

In the very begining of the books there is a section that has a bunch of reviews and one of them from Voice of Youth Advocates on book 2 that says these books will not only keep readers busy but also keep them content until the next Harry Potter comes out and I more then agree.
