Great sister book. If you have a sister, or even if you don't you should pick up this book. Not only does it have a family vibe but it's also a sports book. Krista is the older sister. She thinks the world revolves around her. She and Charlie don't get along and Krista thinks it's because Charlie's sole purpose in life is to be a brat. Charlie looks at the world completely differently. She doesn't think she has changed just that Krista has. She thinks her sister is pathetic for wanting to be perfect. There's something about the writing and the way these two sister get along that I really related to. Probably because I have an older sister. The cover I love! I think it's so cute and the text for the difference between pretty and tough looks so cool. Looking for more Liz Tigelaar? Liz also has a book that is sort of a companion, you could call it, to Pretty Tough. It has different characters but is still very sports oriented, it's called Playing With the Boys. Now Charlie's being recruited for her High School soccer team. Having sisters on a team together is tough. Competing for the coaches attention is even harder.
