Right when Reed Brennan was accepted into the Billings Girls' clique and had finally gotten over her ex-boyfriend (if you could call him that) Thomas Pearce, she discovers that Thomas, the guy that she truly loved, was found dead. Now Reed feels guilty for ever moving on or thinking the worst about Thomas. It's hard for Reed to mourn his death since everyone around her is watching her every move and emotions. It doesn't help either that Thomas's parents couldn't care less that their son has passed away--or how Taylor, Kiran, Noelle, and Arianna are all acting very strange. Especially Taylor, who seems to be crying more than Reed over the death of Thomas. 

She can hardly focus on her school work, since her mind is always on Thomas. There are detectives there investigating Thomas's death, guessing that he was murdered, and interviewing all of the students about Thomas and his past.

But there is only one person that can actually keep Reed sane, and that's Josh. He's the only that actually makes her laugh now and she feels happy whenever she's around him. Except for the fact that he was Thomas's best friend and he did share a room with Thomas. Right when Reed begins to fall for Josh, she discovers things about his past that not only could hurt their relationship but also be the answers to all of the questions that she has.

Whoa, if I keep going at this speed, I'm gonna have over a hundred books done by the end of this summer. Untouchable has to be the most suspenseful Private book so far. The book begins with Reed and the Billings girls and half of Easton Academy at Thomas' parents' house. He's dead. His parents seem unaffected except for the fact they have to miss their flight to Paris because of 'this'. This inconvience, aka their son's DEATH. The Billings Girls bail out early with Josh, Thomas's once-roommate. Nobody knows for sure how this handsome, popular, easygoing boy died. That doesn't stop the girls from doing a little digging. They figure out the name of his drug supplier and tell the police.
Meanwhile, it's Thanksgiving time at Easton. Which evidently means Break. They have an end of the term bash, which almost ends with Noelle bashing Taylor's face in. Nobody knows the reason for that. Reed knows that there's a secret somewhere that they aren't telling her. The students file out of school, all except for Reed, Josh, and Taylor. She left early that week in the middle of the night, which nobody wants to take about. Reed is confused and doesn't know why this girl was so distrought or why she left in Karin's mother's car. Reed and Josh are left at the school alone and things happen so fast that they are both confused and pleased by the time school starts back up again.
People return to school, all except for Taylor. Reed is told that Taylor is away and not returning. This stimulates more questions than answers and with Thomas's killer still out on the loose, the drug supplier had an 'alibi', people are way more uptight than usual. Reed finds out something about someone that she thought she knew and she knows that she has to do something about it. The ending is so surprising and mysterious (leaving you with more questions than answers!), You can't wait for the next book. CONFESSIONS! Lucky I have it sitting right beside me. As soon as I post this blog I am going to begin that book. Toodles!

This book was awesome. I don't know if I belive that Josh killed his roommate and best friend. I think that with some of the evidence they shown it could be true. I think the Billings girls are starting to accept Reed. They realize she won't be leaving too soon like the other character. I keep wondering what happened to Taylor. She was so worked up over Thomas's murder that I don't know what to think. But the email she sent Reed did say that all the BIllings girls were lying about her, so I don't know. I can't wait to read the next book in this series.

Reeds boyfriend Thomas is dead. Reed is barely hanging on, and the Billings Girls are showing her uncharacteristic sympathy until they find that boring. But unlike the Billings Girls who are moving on quite nicely and going back to normal, Reed cant.

Reed continues to search for the answers, but no one seems to want to give her any. Noelle keeps on accusing various people based on what the police have suspicions on, then dismisses them when they prove innocent. Reed also finds herself growing close to Josh even though shes not yet over Thomas. To make it worse, Noelle is now accusing Josh of murdering Thomas, which doesnt make any sense to Reed because Josh was Thomas best friend. And by the end of the book, Taylor has disappeared. No one has all the answers.

The Private series is an amazing one. The books are filled with so much suspense all due to a murder, and that is what makes the series so interesting to read. I think Reeds relationship with Josh is so cute! I recommend this series for fans of the Gossip Girl, It Girl, Clique, and Upper Class series.

First of all I want to say how much i love ALL of the books in the Private series. This one was especially good and left me hanging....like they all do.!! so I cant wait to read the next one!! But this is a good one and makes you think.. I am trying to solve the mystery of Thomas' death and i cant wait til they tell me!! I really dont think Josh did it..but thats just be.

Over all this book is really goood and i highly reccomend it to you!

The Private series is probably my favorite because even though the characters are mostly rich, they don't really come across that way. The book doesn't focus so much on that aspect of the characters' lives, but more on the plot - which is always good. Reed Brennan is the main character whose boyfriend from the first two books has just been found murdered after being missing for weeks. Reed find comfort in her dead boyfriends best friend and soon finds herself falling for him. But could he be the killer? The end of the book leaves you thirsting for the next installment... is he the killer or not? And if he isn't, who is? This book is appropriate for most ages, my sister who is in 8th grade loves these books even more than I do...

This book is about a girl named Reed she is attached to a boy named Thomas who happens to be a drug dealer. but he ends up missing while Thomas is missing she accidentaly kisses another guy, In the end her boyfriend turns up dead. So she starts to date his friend only to find out that he actually may be her boyfriends killer, will we find out just maybe.
