After Jack's best friend Artie is murdered, Artie's ghost begins appearing to him. Artie was killed by werewolf-like creatures called Prowlers and Artie wants Jack to avenge his death. So Jack begins seeking them out, but now the Prowlers have his scent and are after him too.

This book was decent suspense/horror, nothing more, nothing less. One notable thing about this title is that is really uses the city of Boston well and places should be familiar to anyone who knows that city. It is tightly plotted and very intense in places and worth a read if you like supernatural thrillers. This book is the first in a series, but also works as a stand-alone.
