YABC is holding a contest based on community book reviews. Be the community member with the most reviews by April 30th, and you will be contacted by our site manager to choose 3 free books from our ever-changing surplus, mailed straight to your door!

The Rules: What does YABC count as a review for the contest?
A review must be your own words and thoughts. Plagiarism and AI aren’t cool!
A review must go beyond a one-sentence statement that you liked or disliked the book. Explanations and examples for your opinion are key! Check out our tip section for help.
Cross-posting YOUR review to YABooksCentral.com or from our site is acceptable. Already write reviews on Goodreads and Amazon (or other forums)? No problem! Copy and paste as long as you are the owner of those words!

How do I know my review is being counted?
YABooksCentral.com is a moderated site. Our site manager sees everything posted and will be checking that the reviews are following our community guidelines in order to be counted.
How do I know if I win?
Every person who posts on the website must be a community member (not current YABC staff). We will notify the winners through email.
**If we email and don’t receive a response within 3 business days, your prize is forfeited and the next person chosen. Watch your email between May 1st-5th, including spam folders. Make sure the email you have registered with YABC is up to date.

If you win, our site manager will email you photos of the current YABC bookshelf and/or a PDF of eligible books for you to peruse. Pick out the three books you want along with your mailing address and they’re yours. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy.
I don’t see the book listed that I want to review. What can I do?
Double-check the search engine by author first.
Avoid a listing fee by contacting co*********@***il.com to add it for you.
*If you are acting as an author, publisher, or publicist to promote a book, the fee will still apply.
I am an Author. Can I participate?
Yes, but the reviews for the contest only count for books that you have NOT authored. See FAQs on how to submit your book for review by staff or learn more about our promotional kit.
Is this contest only for this month?
Hopefully, this is the start of something new and fun, and we keep it going for a long time to come!
The fine print: Saying it again for the people in the back!
- Remember, YABC is a fun-loving community with a positive vibe. If you don’t win this month, there’s always next month. Everyone has an equal opportunity to win, so no complaining if it isn’t your lucky day.
- You are always welcome to write a negative review if you don’t like a certain book, but flaming reviews that attack authors or give away too many spoilers may be deleted at our discretion.
- Reviews must have some merit to be eligible for our contest. Simply saying, “I liked it!” isn’t enough.
- Your privacy is very important to us. We will NEVER sell your info. It will only be used to contact you in the event you win. We will not add you to a mailing list or newsletter without your consent. Your address will only be used to mail prizes to you.
- This contest is for US residents only, ages 13+
- If you win books from YABC, we’d love it if you wrote a review of them at YABC and then posted on social media! Spread the word about this awesome book community!
