Scandal, secrets & a royal target this sequel came for drama & did NOT miss!

If you thought book one was messy, Royal Scandal by Aimee Carter takes everything to a whole new level & our book club was absolutely eating it up.

Evan Bright is back & wow the girl cannot catch a break. Between ruthless media headlines, rumors linking her to the President’s son & the constant comparisons to Princess Maisie, it feels like the entire world is waiting for her to fail. And honestly? The tension is delicious.

But what really hooked us this time was the shift from drama to full-on danger. Mysterious threats? A tell-all biography looming? And then an attempted assassination?! Yeah, we were collectively screaming. The stakes feel so much higher & the paranoia of not knowing who to trust inside the palace had us side-eyeing EVERY character.

Our book club especially loved how Evan continues to grow. She’s messy, emotional & sometimes makes questionable choices but that’s what makes her feel real. Watching her try to navigate royal politics while being painted as the villain? Addictive.

That said, we did wish we got a little more clarity around some of the conspiracies. There's a lot going on & at times it feels like you’re piecing together clues at lightning speed. But honestly? It just made us more desperate for the next book!

A fast-paced, drama-filled royal thriller with high stakes, juicy scandals & just enough chaos to keep you turning pages way past bedtime.

Book club verdict: If you love royal drama, secrets & a heroine who refuses to go down quietly this one is a MUST.
