First off I think publishing this book was horrible. Margaret Mitchell was very clear that she never wanted a sequel. She was the kind of person who could say "Rhett left Scarlett" and not think of all the what-ifs. Alexandra Ripley had to wait until Stephens Mitchell (Margaret's brother and executor of her estate) had died before she could publish it. If she loved gwtw so much then why did she do the one thing Margaret Mitchell would have hated? But anyway...the book itself. It's really not that good. It blows my mind that it got published in the first place. I think a good "tell" is that on the cover "The sequel to Gone With the Wind" is bigger then the title :)
