Senioritis is a wonderfully written novel about seven high school students, from different social groups, who get placed in an after school program for various reasons. Each character in Senioritis has their own narrative voice that advances the plot, and it is clear this author understands teens of today. The language is so dead-on.
I have never seen anything like this book! I also enjoyed the multicultural aspect of this book. There aren't many books out there for multicultural teens, and this is one of the best.
Tate Thompson should be commended for writing such a timely book with such vibrant characters. Thompson is not afraid to approach tough issues that often don't get talked about. This book is edgy, true, and fun. I could not put this down!
