Lou Calabrese is a renowned screenwriter, and life is going pretty well. At least until her actor boyfriend of ten years elopes with his co-star of a film Lou herself wrote to help further his career, and the next day Lou has to fly to the set of another of her movies to convince the director not to blow up a mine. When she finds out that she's flying out there with the movie's star, Jack Townsend, who also happens to be the ex of not only her best friend but her ex-boyfriend's new wife, she's convinced that her life can't get any worse. Then the pilot tries to kill Jack, the helicopter crashes, and Lou is stuck in the Alaskan wilderness with no one but her least favorite person in the world. When Lou starts to think that maybe Jack isn't so bad after all, she's positive that she's sunk as low as she can. Readers will laugh along with Lou as she and Jack try to escape the freezing woods and discover who, aside from Lou, hates Jack enough to want to kill him. This fast-paced and action-packed romance will keep you enrapt until the end.
