I liked the novel Ghost in the Machine by Patrick Carman. This story is about a girl named Sarah and a boy named Ryan who are trying to find out about a mystery involving a ghost that is going on in their town. There were a lot of things that took place and a lot of suspense. I couldn't wait to get to the videos to see what would happen next. There were a lot of moments when I thought they were going to get caught, like the time when Sarah went to Ryan's house when his dad was on his way home. Another time was when Ryan was in the cafe, watching to see who would turn the birdie on the library. No matter what, they never gave up and they finally found out all about the birdie and what Old Joe Bush hid in the Dredge. The story is also written as a journal, which I liked because it was easier than reading a regular book.
