I had this HUGE déjà vu when I was reading the first two chapters. Then I realized that I had read the excerpt of it from Living Dead Girl&.after almost frying my brain trying to figure out why. Haha.
Something, Maybe is probably one of the best, short and cute book I have read this year. I have always loved Elizabeths writing and this one was no exception. Like I have said in previous reviews, I adore writing that is straight to the point with little or no details. And, Elizabeths writing is just like that. Her writing style is so captivating that I am immediately immersed in the characters life.
Hannah is actually a very, very normal girl despite her semi-famous parents who always manages to embarrass her. I loved her normalcy and made me relate to her especially in having parents whose apparent sole purpose in life is to embarrass their offsprings. She was written in a very realistic way that allowed me to fall in love with her [not that way hahaha].
And the love triangle between her, Finn and Josh was so adorable and though it was obvious who Hannah should end up with, it was a fun and entertaining ride to see when Hannah would see it for herself. Personally, I wouldnt like Josh at all because he seemed really boring. The perfect goody-two-shoes. Definitely not my type. :) Finn, well, he is definitely my type. Humorous, not such a goody-two-shoe, my perfect boy. :)
All in all, Something, Maybe was an amazing book. A definite book that needs to be in your bookshelves. Now.
