Lula and Jeff are off to the SoBe scene in this novel, competing in a band contest. And the hunk that's been catching her eye is actually the competition, Enrique. As things progress, Lula starts to wonder if she can really trust someone she barely knows with her heart.

I felt this as really slow-placed, annoying, and just overall stupid (no offense or anything). I like some of her other books, but this one was just like bleh. It lacked the sizzle of the book title, and nothing worked for me. I thought it was a waste of time.

This book was sooo boring! This reads like a Ricky Martin music video! Not very exciting and VERY predictable! You knew from page one that she was going to get the guy. I won't be reading this again. A waste of time.

South Beach Aimee Friedman

Hot sand. Hot clubs. Hot guys. What more could two girls want? Try the same guy.

This tells of the spring break of Holly and Alexa, once best friends they grew apart in high school and formed one, the popular it girl with everything going for her and a restless spirit, and a shy, quieter girl, with just as much to live for but seemingly different temprement and morals. A turn of fate leaves them renting a room together on South Beach, the place to be for spring break, Holly remembers a time of her past, a brief flirtation with someone special, while Alexa is there for the hot clubs and guys. As they spend together they remember just what they had in common and begin to ignore the society of teenage life and forget why exactly they drifted apart. This book is one of those perfect summer reads, sivvling romances and flirtations, a tale of friendship and understanding set to a backdrop where the days are wild and the nights wilder. This book is an enjoyable read, and while some parts seem slightly immature and not well written, over all it is cute and you root for the charcters.

Best friends Lulu and Jeff take a road trip from NYC to Florida during the summer after senior year. Lulu is about to start Miami U in the fall and Jeff is looking to work in a restaurant in hopes of becoming a famous chef.. This is also an opportunity for Lulu to reconnect with her father and Jeff is going to stay with his uncle. Unfortunately, family problems bring the friends together again and they rent an apartment.

Their landlord, CeCe, also owns a restaurant. Both Lulu and Jeff end up working at CeCes, trying to make it a popular hotspot in South Beach. Lulu also finds a love interest, a musician popular with the girls. Even when events start to make him look suspicious, Lulu denies that he is trying to harm them. But something has to happen quick before the opportunity of a lifetime slips away from CeCe and her band.

I thought that this was one of the best books in the romantic comedy series. The story was well written and there was humor, mystery, and romance all wrapped together. This was a fun read and Id recommend it, even if you disliked the other books in the series.
