Fifteen year old Christy Miller came from Wisconsin to her Aunt Marti and Uncle Bob's house in California for the summer. After being rejected by the people at the beach because she wasn't very stylish, Christy is very upset and goes to her room to cry. Her Aunt Marti heard her and offered to take her to the mall for a new wardrobe and a makeover. Now Christy is accepted and life can't get any better or worse, or can it?

My favorite character was Christy becaues she was the main character and the author wrote from her perspective most of the time. She is also most like me. The best part of this book is when Aunt Marti takes Christy shoppping for the first time. I enjoyed this book very much because Christy seemed so real and her troubles are much lke those of people her age.

I would recommend this book for teenage girls ages 12-16 because this group of people can relate to some of Christy's problems in life
