Teen Idol is one of Meg Cabot's best works. Her character seems more realistic and believable than her Princess Diaries main character, Mia. Mis always seemed like a teenage stereotype to me and in a way it made the author seem as though she was gently poking fun at her readers. However this character seems well-rounded and realistic.
The storyline is intriguing and while it's obvious who the main character will end up with, the fun part is trying to figure out who the "Teen Idol" will wind up dating. It's a fun read that I recommend to readers of the Princess Diary series.
