Massie Block: When the Pretty Committee deems its boy-fast null and void, boy fever sweeps through BOCD. What better way to backhandspring into new crush Dempsey's heart-and make old crush Derrington jealous-than cheer for him on the soccer field? And just like that, Massie forms BOCD's first-ever cheerleading squad. But will Massie still have something to cheer about when Dempsey starts spending ah lot of time with LBR Layne Abeley? Give me an "E" for Ehmagawd!

Kristen Gregory: With Massie and her SBFF (secret best friend forever) Layne vying for the same boy, Kristen has to make a choice: A) the Pretty Committee, or B) the Witty Committee. And if she doesn't choose fast, she'll end up C) Committeeless.

Dylan Marvil: Is hiding something, and it's not just those peanut butter Luna bars stashed under her mattress. She's got a secret crush on Derrington-and it's no secret that he likes burpilicious redheads. . . .

Alicia Rivera: Prefers pliés to pom-poms, especially when Massie orders her to the bottom of the cheer-pyramid. Can Alicia accept her beta status, or is it time to become alpha of her own squad?

Claire Lyons: Now that she's back with Cam, Claire finally has her love life in order. But her friends are trading crushes like styling tips. Will the Pretty Committee survive the boy-swap intact, or is the Clique about to come apart at the seams?

i think this book was funy. it was witty, smart, girly, and very cliquey. i like the fact that the author uses cute, romantic slogans and turns them into critical and repugnant titles such as p.s i love you. i recommend this book for everyone to read, even if you're not in a specific clique! this book made me laugh

Meet the Pretty Committee, Briarwood-Octavian Country Days most exclusive clique, also known as the OCDivas. The group consists of five BFFs: Massie Block, the group leader, Kristen Gregory, the smart and athletic one, Dylan Marvil, the funny and tomboyish one, Alicia Rivera, the second-in-command, and Claire Lyons, the down to earth one.

After a short-standing boy-fast, it seems everyone at BOCD has a crush. Massie is crushing on Dempsey after recently getting over Derrington, although she still has claim to him. It seems, however, that Massie has some competition. This competition is none other than Layne Abeley, an LBR who just happens to be one of Dempseys LBR best friends. In order to gain Dempseys love, Massie starts BOCDs first ever cheerleading squad. Along the way, though, there is plenty of Pretty Committee trouble, including someone vying for alpha status.

Kristen cannot wait for Dune, her crush to return from surfing. But when he does, she is not sure if he the one for her. Plus, she has to deal with Massie and her secret LBR best friend, Layne, both crushing on Dempsey. Who will she help? Claire, on the other hand, has a steady boyfriend. She just needs to help Massie keep the PC intact, which is not an easy job. Alicia is happy with Josh, but not with her beta status. Will she accept her position or try to work her way to the top? Finally, there is Dylan. She has got a rather large secret: shes crushing on Derrington, although Massie still has claim on him. Plus, its pretty obvious that he has a thing for tomboys.

P.S. I Loathe You is similar to the likes of Gossip Girl and The A-List. It doesnt contain nearly as much cussing or sexual activity - theres very little, actually. This book obviously isnt a timeless work of literature, but its a fun read just the same. As a fan of The Clique series I was excited for another installment. Its a great beach or weekend read. Dont expect much depth; you wont find it. There are, however, a couple of good life lessons if you look closely enough. I would recommend this to anyone who loves rich girl books, but wants a toned down version. If youre looking for a guilty pleasure, full of name-dropping, clothes, and boys, P.S. I Loathe You by Lisi Harrison is the book for you.
