I give credit to the author for making this book and coming up with the plot but i honestly thought it was kind of boring. It was just too predictable for my taste.

This may not be a very long book, but still, it's a very good book!
Dakin has always wondered about the farthest-away mountain, and what secrets it holds. She dreams abotu reaching the snow-covered peak that seems to change colors. She has heard the stories of men trying to reach it, but as they walk towards it, they only get farther and farther away. Then one day, the mountain calls her, and she knows she must go.
She sets out on a long and perilous journey through the Wicked Wood and finds help in a strange form- a brass troll and a frog. But she alone can journey up the treacherous mountain paths to find out what evil has held the mountain for hundreds of years, and now threatens to destroy everything that she has ever known.
