Prince George has a terrible secret to hide from the public: a secret that will betray his family and will shock the peasants. A secret of the animal magic. Princess Beatrice is not like many: she is unaccepted by her father because she is a woman not a man and she shirks from people, her only friend a hound that never leaves her side. Yet, she too has a secret to hide.

As they come together, they mold into each other, but secrets must come out. When George's father suddenly becomes ill, George must find the reason why and fix it before it is too late and the world spirals away.
