This is the ninth installment to the Princess Diaries series and it is a great one. Mia has just broken up with her boyfriend and is facing serious depression and therapy as a result. In spite of this break down, Mia remains fairly mature throughout the novel. The growth of this character is clearly displayed in this second to last installment for the series. I was extremely impressed.

The subplots were very entertaining to read as well. Mia's world is changing drastically and the relationships in it are as well. Exciting developments in Mia's relationships with JP and Lilly will leave the reader wishing the tenth and final installment came out the second they finish the ninth.

I am now also extremely anxious to read the tenth and final novel in the series. It is sure to be a wonderful and fulfilling end to this beloved series.
