I think this book is weak. It has a lot of potential, but the plot strikes me as childish and the characters leave something to be desired, namely human traits. The girls are too fixated and uncomplicated in their own facets of personality. The Kind One, The Bossy One, The Recluse, it's very been there. On the other hand, The Nameless One was a clever touch and many of the secondary characters made me smile. Miss Bujor is talented, but it makes me wonder if she ever really left grade school...I want to see her come out with something really great. I want to love her book, but I found it safe and a bit sad. Depressing, I mean. I want her to write something more daring than fated love. I want for her to shine, and I hope she earns more respect from me in the future.

this book was wonderful. The author was able to show very realistic characteristics and feelings. This book has what a "classic" fairy tale has, romance, fights, adventure, friendship, fighting to the bitter end, all of it. An awesome book!

Really, this book is not worth your time. I found myself laughing at the cardboard characters, the weak plot, the huge coincidences, the terrible dialogue, and numerous other flaws. Even keeping in mind that Ms. bujor was only 13 when she wrote it, I found myself wondering if all books by French authors were this bad. Spare yourself the torture, and please, for your sanity, do NOT read this book, or at the very least, don't buy it. Rent it from the library.

This bbok was good because I like the way she captures how concieted and high maintenace Jade is. I also like how she gives Amber that sensitive but strong personality. She also did great with Opal and Adrien falling in love, she kept the story adventerous, romantis, mystical, and scary at the same time!

Three girls, all leading a different life. They have absolutely nothing in common until they are thrown together by their fellow relatives. They learn of the Prophecy and of their stones. Jade, Opal, Amber. Each stone for each girl and their namesake. They embark on a journey that includes defeating the evil that endangers the land called Fairytale. At the same time, in Paris, a girl named Joa is sick and in her dreams, she is transported to the magical place of the three girls. Jade, Opal and Amber's faithfullness in hope and goodness will determine Fairytale and Joa's future.
