This book is so AWESome! I love it! Ever since I read the first book(Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry), I've love this author ever since.
So there's a 17 year old black girl named Cassie who lives in Mississippi right before World War 11. So anyways, her "friend" Moe just gets ticked off with these white dudes who keep messing with him. He hurts them real bad, and after that has to escape Mississippi because to hit a white man back then is ...trouble. So he gets his friends, Cassie included, with her brother Stacey, and they go to Memphis.
I love this book, its a romance, historical fiction and it's great. U have to read this booK!!!
