Although the first chapter or two is a bit description heavy, the action picks up quickly, taking the reader on a wonderfully exciting adventure filled with love, pain, friendship and betrayal. Not for the uneducated, as there are mature scenes. Overall, however, "Daughter of the Forest" leaves the reader feeling content and well filled, as well as more mature for the journey they took along with Sorcha.
