Viking Warrior begins the tale of Halfdan, a slave of the great chieftain Hrorik. Even though his master is his father and his mother an Irish princess, he's forced to live as a thrall until his mother deal a deadly bargain. Suddenly a free man, he must work to earn his place in a startling and confusing world.
Although at first a little hard to get into, once Viking Warrior gets going there's no stopping. Extremely clever and full of history, this account resembles a fantasy novel more than a historical fiction. Defintely one that will not want to be missed.
